Juan Tamad, Ang Diyablo at ang 5 Milyong Boto
My reaction for this theater movie is that it motivates the youth in this present generation to vote and participate and to gather. The campaign is relevant to the youth because its election time and they can viewed. Youth must register themselves to vote; the youth who are ages 18 to 21 are called the virgin voter or what we called the first time voter who will vote for this 2010 election. the youths must be awake and make difference. It motivates the youth to vote and in a democracy there's nothing human than the right to vote.
The insights that i have gain is that the Politicians don't wash their dirty in the public; if we participate in this coming election we can make a big change. I learn that for those who have lost in the election, they must be watch over if those promises are made even if they lost and they must always remember, because if they will run again for the next election they are the right person to vote for.
I agree of what was being said by the movie, in many times in the film they advocate the right of every individual to vote. And like the parents of Juan that even they are outside of the country the name that they are Filipino, they can vote and participate as an absently voter.
Filipino are viewed in this film as being corrupt and "oto-oto", many are viewed as having a crab mentality. But then this views can be change by participating and voting for the right person in the position. There are 3E's to choose a candidate, first he must be "effective" who can be trusted, "ethical" who respect cultures, and "empowering" every decisions are strongly made so we must be involved.
